1 Timothy 4:1-3 (NKJV) “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…”
In a downtown Manhattan NYC Episcopal Church, called Grace Church School, a man by the name of Jesse Havea cat walks down the aisle of a church packed with people and kids wearing masks.
For decades, the decline and departure of people from the faith of Christ has been underway.
The Lord warned us through the apostle Paul that these days would be here.
This is what the Lord warned us about in 2 Timothy 4:1-4.
“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”
Some that profess to be Episcopalians, Methodists, Presbyterians, Baptist, Southern Baptists, Pentecostals, Non-denominational houses. But you can be in a denomination, or non denomination, and still not be in Christ.
Romans 8:9 (NKJV) “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”
What’s the proof that you have the Spirit of Christ?
2 John 1:8-9 (NKJV) “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.”
It always starts with the leaders. When the leaders turn themselves away from the truth and are turned aside to fables or myths, they will entertain strange doctrines which is also known as “deceiving spirits and doctrines of devils.”
That men can be women and women can be men. That men can menstruate, get pregnant, give birth, and breastfeed. That men can become lesbians.
The Lord warned the children of Israel about men wearing the apparel of women.
Deuteronomy 22:5 (NKJV) “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.”
An abomination. Disgusting. Detestable. Disgusting.
A lot of believers are surprised and appalled and at the very least, we should be appalled, but not surprised.
The verse above told us that “the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of devils…”
To depart means to leave or withdraw.
But the other side of the coin is that the world is demanding that the Lord accepts their sin. They want the Lord to let sin and sinners enter into His heaven with the condition that they’re in.
Then why did the Lord Jesus say in John 3:3 “Except and man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, and verse 5 “Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” and verse 7, “You must be born again.”
Sin is a deliberate and intentional act of defiance against the known will of God.
So when a person refuses to be born again, and they enter into a house of worship, and they continue in sin, they’re tares among wheat.
Matthew 13:24-30 (NKJV) “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘”
So never be shocked about the events we’re seeing.
It was prophesied long ago that this would happen.
It’s a sign that the coming of the Lord is drawing nearer than when we first believed (see Romans 13:11-14).
