The Days Of Noah & Lot

Luke 17:26-30 (NKJV) “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

In my previous post regarding this subject, I focused so much on the activities of the day than on what took place after the people rejected Noah’s preaching, and after Lot was removed by force.

Two destructive events took place.

For Noah’s day, for 100+ years, he preached to them, but the people ignored every word and went about life as if nothing would happen. The ark and Noah’s preaching was a warning ignored. 100+ years of the long-suffering of God.

Things got worse.

The thoughts and imagination of their hearts were set on evil continually. They came up with more perversion as the days went by.

Their day of judgment was upon them and the whole earth was covered with rain from above. Nothing above the water survived except 8 people in an ark that the Lord commanded Noah to build. The Ark also held two of every species to repopulate the earth.

The destruction of the human population wasn’t about the giants in the land.

It was about judging sin.

It was the same with Lot’s day.

Sodom and Gomorrah was the place of the utter wickedness of homosexuality.

The perversion was so gross, that God came from heaven Himself to see for Himself the perverse wickedness. Could He have seen it from heaven? He did, but He choose to come from His throne.

After Lot, his wife, and two daughters were taken from the city, fire and brimstone came down upon that city from heaven.

The city and surrounding cities were destroyed. It was the just judgment of God upon the perverse wickedness of the men that insisted on same sex perversion.

Lot’s wife looked back one last time. The Lord told them to leave and not look back.

Lot’s wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt.

While the earth is experiencing the “beginning of sorrows,” we’re experiencing the same attitudes of today, but it’s not just the world, but also the houses of worship.

In almost every house of worship, Lot’s wife is there. Looking back at a city, longing for its dainties.

The Lord Jesus said, “No man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

With Covid, the world is now looking at living with the disease as their way of saying that we’re going to live with this.”

In other words, just go about your business.

You can always tell when people are looking back.

They look to vote Republican.

The evangelicals are looking to “save America.”

If they were truly looking to the Lord Jesus, they would never look to a politician for anything. When your way of life is threatened from within, there’s a reason.

satan is one reason, and people just want to live in peace, but remember, there’s a spiritual war going on. This Republic has been attacked for the last 2 centuries.

Evangelicals will never look at Daniel chapter 2 and Revelation chapters 19 through 22.

These things will not be stopped.

Just like in Noah’s and Lot’s day, when the Son of man is revealed, He will bring His wrath on every nation that went against the holy city, Jerusalem and His chosen people. The Messiah will return and His reward is with Him.

This is the other side of the days of Noah and Lot.

This world will be judged.

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
