Acts 17:26-27 (NKJV) “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us…”
Psalms 75:6-7 (NKJV) “For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.”
Daniel 5:22-23 (NKJV) “But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them.
And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.”
I’ve preached from these Scriptures before. So this is nothing new. However, with the battle continuing in Ukraine, having been invaded by Russia, we see that this is just another piece to the complicated puzzle of end times prophesy.
But it’s not that complicated because of what the Lord Jesus said in Matthew 24:7-8 (NKJV)
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Since the Cold War somewhat ended or paused, we now see that the Cold War resumed after 2 years of Covid. A lot of end times preachers have correctly stated that Russia and China is about to make their moves.
During the Trump administration, Russia, China, and North Korea were well behaved, but China introduced the coronavirus at just the right time. In the United States, the political powers went after Trump and he was “voted” out of office.
All of the plans of globalism were in a tailspin during the Trump administration and then 81 million people voted for Biden.
We must remember. God owns all the ways of every man. He holds everyone’s breath in His hand. He sets up one, and takes down another. He will not allow a nation to go beyond the boundaries that He’s established. You see.
God knows where every boundary is. Even when man makes new boundaries. Even if the boundaries is crossed, He knows how to reestablish them without man’s permission.
Everything is done for a reason. And we will not know everything. But one thing we do know. God is always in control even when man is out of control. You may not understand it all, but it’s with a purpose.
Daniel chapter 2 and Revelation 20.
Unsaved man is frazzled. Some saved unwise folk are frazzled. Professed believers are frazzled.
But the ones that understand the Lord and what’s in store is never frazzled.
Daniel 12:9-10 (NKJV) “And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.”
The prophetic word that was given to Daniel was shut up “…until the time of the end.”
Hebrews 1:1-2 (NKJV) “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things…”
The ministry of the Lord Jesus, His primary ministry is to die for the sin of the world. His secondary, though important, is the starting the clock of the end times.
In Daniel 9, the 62 weeks is considered to be the starting point of the end times. There’s 7 weeks left. As with prophesy, a week is considered a year.
But this definition of the year is calculated by God alone.
Remember. In Daniel 9, the angel Gabriel told Daniel that 70 weeks have been determined for Israel.
At the 62nd week, the Messiah will be cut off.
This is considered to be the crucifixion of Christ because remember in John chapter 1, “His own received Him not.”
And then there’s Isaiah 53, “He was despised and rejected by men.”
We’re slowly approaching the last week which makes up 70 weeks, because, again, 62+7 is 69. And the last week is Daniel 9:27 and Revelation chapters 5 through 19.
A lot has been said about Gog and Magog. The first prophetic recording is in Ezekiel 38 and 39. The next time that we actually see the Gog is in Revelation 20:8.
There’s 2 battles in the Book of Revelation. One before the 1K millennial reign of Christ then after satan is loosed from the bottomless pit to deceive the nations, to go after Christ one last time, and then he will be cast into the lake of fire forever.
So will there be more wars and rumors of wars? Will there be more nations rising against nation, and kingdom against kingdom? Undoubtedly, but the end isn’t yet.
The “abomination of desolation” spoken of by Daniel, the Lord Jesus, and Paul, as revealed to John in Revelation 13 is the middle of the week of the 7 year tribulation period, which is the final week of the 70 weeks.
So the most important thing is not the politics and wars, but the soon return of Christ.
Russia and Ukraine isn’t the only war on the planet. You have the Middle East and other places. But it all points to one thing.
The soon establishing of the everlasting kingdom of Christ.
