The Pending Death of Roe vs. Wade?

I’m not going to go into too much of the history of this landmark case.

But the back drop is very basic.

Nixon was in the WH.

The Supreme Court was made up of Warren Burger, Republican. William Douglas, Democrat. William Brennan, Democrat. Potter Steward, Republican. Byron White, Democrat. Thurgood Marshall, Democrat. Harry Blackmun, Republican. Lewis Powell, Democrat, and William Rehnquist, Republican.

The vote went 7 to 2 with White, a Democrat, and Rehnquist, a Republican, dissenting.

Burger, Republican (Chief Justice).

Douglas, Democrat.

Brennan, Democrat.

Steward, Republican.

Marshall, Democrat.

Blackmun, Republican.

Powell, Democrat. Voted in the Affirmative.

The Court was a liberal court but the voting was mixed in the affirmative, 4 Democrats and 3 Republicans.

Henry Wade was the DA in Texas, and was sued by  Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe). While the case was running its course in the courts, she gave birth to the child she wanted to abort.

For a time, McCorvey was in a homosexual relationship with Connie Gonzalez.

Norma McCorvey became a pro life advocate until her death in 2017 at age 69.

Now the reason why I’ve listed the justices was to show that it was a liberal court. The WH had a Republican president, and the House and Senate, which was the 93rd Congress, were both under Democratic control.

For the last couple of decades, the states have been changing its stance on abortion. And many lawyers are looking at the decision that the current Supreme Court may make (nothing’s guaranteed) Roe v. Wade, a precedent landmark law, go away.

And this would send the battle back to the states.

I’ve seen a lot of battles on abortion. Recently, we’ve seen this battle increase to where pictures of babies are used to affect the conscience. In one place it’s called “Shock and Awe.”

It’s also known as “righteous agitation.”

But very few places address the root cause of abortion.

Fornication and adultery, born out of lust in the hearts of men and women.

Should Roe v. Wade revert back to the states, sinners will still engage in fornication and adultery. The world will use the fear tactics to try to keep Roe v. Wade legal. Abortion may have been made legal but it’s never moral because abortion is murder.

It’s the legalization of murder in the womb.

Many abortion proponents have used the fear tactics of using the coat hanger to rip a baby out in the back alley, but all across the world, there are places where a woman could go to an underground facility to get an abortion.

Most women don’t have the financial means to get an abortion and will resort to low level methods. And the return to the coat hanger cannot be ruled out. For those that do have the financial means, will cross state lines to go to places where abortion remains legal.

What make us think that annulling a law would 100% stop abortion?

Just like when the US try to take away all of the firearms, the criminals will continue to use the Black Market of firearms to carry. Sinners will never obey God’s commands. Sinners will do lawlessness. Sexual immorality will continue.

We all know that there’s methods to prevent pregnancy, but when these methods fail, and a child is conceived, what do we think people will do?

We can go back and use the many Biblical arguments used to dig into the consciences of lust filled hearts. But the heart or the conscience of men has the law of God already written on them. Their conscience already knows that murder is a violation of God’s law.

Do we stop preaching the gospel because the sinful heart of men and women are bent on sexual immorality and murder? Absolutely not. We keep at it. Even after Roe v. Wade may be overturned.

We never stop because a law is overturned because the point of preaching the gospel is to get men and women saved from the wrath of God that’s to come. Not just to stop the immorality of murdering a child.

No amount of legal appeasement will suppress what God already placed on the heart.

While many will applaud the potential overturn of Roe v. Wade, will it solve the lust in the hearts of males and females?

No.

Fornication and adultery, which is the fuel of abortion will still drive people into sin.

Many will applaud this pending event. It will be a culmination of hard work. But remember. Pro Life compromised and used incremental appeasement when God is absolute about murder.

The battle will return to the states and this is where true believers must approach sinners with the absolute gospel of Christ without compromise.

We don’t condemn, we don’t preach in anger. We constantly share the gospel of Jesus Christ, exposing the works of darkness with the light of Jesus Christ, all in hopes that people turn from sin.

Repentance from dead works and faith towards God by placing their full faith on Jesus. Sinners must do this before they’re condemned by God and perish.

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
