Romans 13:1-7 (NKJV)
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”
When government is attempting to force compliance against your will to do something that’s inconsistent with Scripture, God will not hold it against you for NOT complying.
You must remember. All authority comes from God.
With regard to your employer, when they demand that you do something against your will that you know violates God’s Word, God will not hold it against you when you take a stand against it.
You may lose your job and you may be forced to find employment else where, but it’s so much better to have a clear conscience about obeying the Lord than to disobey the Lord.
When it comes to obeying rules and regulations that’s consistent with Scripture, it must never be an issue. It will be well with us all if we seek to please the Lord at all times.
If you resist a “mandate,” be prepared to be unemployed. Be prepared not to fly on aircrafts, eat at restaurants, go to movies, attend sports events, or parades. Believers shouldn’t make a big deal about it.
Just like you have rules for people that come to your house.
But when they come to your house, they’re guests, and they don’t have any rights to impose their rules upon you IN YOUR HOUSE. That’s when you show them the door.
If you choose to comply with mandates, that’s your decision, but don’t get upset if people choose not to comply with mandates.
Don’t make a scene either. You don’t have to make the news.
Some of the churches is imposing mandates to attend service.
That’s what they want to do. If you choose to attend, you either comply, or you go elsewhere to participate in a church service.
Chances are, the best thing to do is to find another place to worship without mandates.
It’s the house of the Lord.
Even the vilest of sinners aren’t prohibited from attending. It’s in hopes that the sinner would repent and revert to God to be born again, and be washed clean of sin by the blood of the Lamb.
It’s amazing that people are so quick to obey rules of men and they sneer at the rules of God. So quick to get vaccinated to attend service but we’re so sick in sin that we won’t repent of sin.
Our hypocrisy is showing. The skirt has been lifted and we should be ashamed.
Here’s another thing.
We fear the police when we commit a crime. We get caught by the police officer and placed in the holding cell until arraignment and trial. Then when we’re convicted of the crime, either by bench or jury trial, the judge will render a sentence to pay for the crime that we’ve been convicted of.
The “Defund The Police” and “Criminal Justice Reform” is designed to allow the criminal to never be held accountable for the crime.
It’s cloaked behind the wrong doing of the ones entrusted with enforcing the law.
Meaningful accountability by law enforcement to make the justice system fair is the goal, but when it turns into a farce, it hurts the credibility of those in law enforcement.
But with God’s justice, God is perfect.
Our own acts, thoughts and, words were recorded before time began.
Every sinful thought, every sinful act, every sinful word.
Nothing is left out.
From start to finish.
On the Internet, there was a person that shot a woman at point blank range, and then he looked up. He observed that a camera caught him in the act of committing felony murder.
It was a detective’s best case.
No need to canvas witnesses. No need to piece together what happened.
Every second was caught on camera.
According to Revelation 20-11-15, untold numbers of sinners will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ when He sits on the Great White Throne Judgment Seat. The books will be opened. Sinners will be judged according to what’s in each book for each sinner.
Unlike a trial on earth, you won’t have an attorney. There will be no plea bargaining. There will be no mercy. There will be no forgiveness. There will be no grace.
On earth however, just like when we get caught committing a crime, we’re processed. We get placed in a holding cell until trial. Now on earth, you’re allowed to make bail. Then the trial begins. On earth, you might get out on a technicality. The judge on earth may dismiss your case with prejudice. The jury may cut you a break.
But with God, it’s different.
Death is the arresting officer. Death was commanded to let go of the Son of God, who lived a perfect life in the flesh. Death was commanded to release the Son of God because He paid the penalty for every man. Death had no choice but to obey God.
But for sinners. According to John 5, there will be a resurrection of the just and unjust.
Hell is the holding cell for sinners. There’s been no escapees from the Hades (place of departed condemned spirits) side of Hell.
The Great White Throne Judgment is the trial.
There’s no jury. There’s no defense attorney. There’s no plea bargaining. No reduced sentence. No parole. No early release for good behavior. There will be no mistaken identity.
After the trial at the Great White Throne, the names of the convicted will be checked one last time to make sure that you know that you’re the criminal. If your name isn’t found written in the Book of Life, you will be cast (thrown) into the lake of fire burning with brimstone forever.
In this life, it’s the only chance we have to escape the wrath of God and His justified justice upon the wicked.
What amazes me is that this isn’t preached any more because folk don’t want to hear about what’s really to come.
Yes, Jesus died for our sins to pay for our penalty, and we’re given, as a gift, grace through faith in Jesus. But what’s happened is that there’s another gospel out there that overshadowed the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
There’s no fear of God before our eyes.
We’re not afraid to plea for mercy. We go about life like “God is love.” “God forgives.”
But people want forgiveness WITHOUT repentance. Meaning that we want to continue in sin, assuming that God already forgave us. It doesn’t work that way.
What if I’ve stepped on your toe, and you say “that’s alright.” But I keep stepping on your toe because the first time I’ve stepped on your toe, you said that “It’s alright?”
That’s what hypocrites do. We pretend that we’re forgiven. And then we go about sinning as if nothing happened.
And He does forgive and He is love, and HE is holy ands just, and He is the Judge. But try telling a natural judge that you’re sorry after you’ve been convicted of a crime.
A natural judge wouldn’t be a good and just judge if he let a murderer or rapist go free.
So why do we have a problem when the Judge of the whole world passes sentence on sinners?
The church need to return to preaching the Bible the way it is and not try to placate to sinners. We avoid telling them the truth because we want church seats filled, but we’re filling up the seats of hell.
It’s very important that the church warn the wicked before the arresting officer called death comes.
“For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
