Proverbs 23:19-21 (NKJV)
“Hear, my son, and be wise;
And guide your heart in the way.
Do not mix with winebibbers,
Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;
For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty,
And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.“
Would you ridicule a person trying to save your life?
Would you tell them that you’re good, that you don’t need a fireman’s assistance to be saved?
A criminal is robbing you and a police officer comes to your aid, would you tell that police officer to go away?
A person with common sense would cry out for help and receive their assistance.
Take heed to the words of the Wise One (Almighty God) and receive instruction.
Man isn’t God. God is all Wise. All Knowing. All Powerful. He’s everywhere at the same time.
Obesity among children is the underlying risk factor for kids that acquire Covid.
Some parents need to stop feeding their children with the mentality that you’re not a good parent if you don’t feed your child. I remember growing up and mom had two portioned meals a day prepared for us, courtesy of the Lord and a working father in the 1960’s.
We didn’t have snacks in between meals. We had school lunch that was portioned. We didn’t starve and we knew that to ask for more would be responded with a “no.”
I was an active kid, so the calories were naturally burning itself off.
But some parents are not disciplined these days. Constantly feeding their children out of guilt or just to keep their child quiet when they cry for food constantly. You don’t give in. You give them what’s necessary. Three portioned meals is sufficient.
Mind my business? Oh, ok.
Hospitalization of children with Covid, 9 out of 10 children were obese. For adults, it speaks volumes, but when people don’t listen to the warning, there’s essentially little that could be done.
Very few will seriously adjust to save lives. Heed the warning. Especially when government shut down gyms. For most people, when restrictions are imposed, it’s a deliberate impediment to take your life. Having served in the US Navy, there’s a military rule.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
Just because government impedes one way, it’s not the end.
You find another way around, over, underneath, or through it.
You defy their rules to workout. You find a way to get it done, and never allow for excuses.
Find a way to get it done. When your life depends upon it, you will put aside all of your excuses and get it done. There’s plenty of indoor activities that will help address the obesity epidemic.
Also, when you know that government is shutting gyms down, you sacrifice. You adjust. You restrict. You do what you have to do to avoid underlying conditions contributing to Covid.
There’s always a way to get in a good calorie burning workout indoors in your house or apartment. Be creative.
No more excuses.
You’re in a car and the cliff is just a few yards away. And someone is warning you to stop before you go over the cliff.
But you continue driving.
