Slowly, we’re watching government remove the individual right to choose. We’re watching governments around the world track individuals. Whether we realize it or not, our phones and cameras are tracking, watching, and listening to us.
Our spending habits, bank accounts, and other financial dealings reveal our spending habits.
Some of us remember the first mobile phones. It was a big brick made by Motorola. There may be other first on the market phones but the one that sticks out in my mind was the Motorola.
Then the flip phone came that mirrored the flip phone of Star Trek.
These things have been planned long ago and today, they’re a reality.
9/11 brought in the Patriot Act and the ability to enter your private life is solidified.
Your phone is an extension of public.
Even when you impose certain privacy restrictions, your phone is designed to be bypassed by the companies that make these phones. Any restrictions you select on your phone is just a token. And when you try to eliminate or restrict ads, they find a way to get into your phone. Your ability to choose to absolutely not see ads, should have been a wake up call.
In Revelation 13, the beast and the false prophet intend to use absolute rule to force you to comply to the rule of worshipping the image. You will have the ability to choose but it will cost you your life.
This mirrors Daniel chapter 3 when Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were thrown into the fiery furnace for refusing to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar’s statue when the music played.
Nebuchadnezzar,, king of Babylon imposed an absolute rule and the 3 Hebrew boys held fast to the Word of God not to bow down to idol gods. They’ve feared God more than Nebuchadnezzar. Their choice cost them. But God spared their lives.
Even in the face of losing their lives, they made that choice because to offend God would have brought upon them His eternal wrath. You see, the wrath of man is but for a moment, but God’s punishment after a person dies is forever.
With the vaccines, work places all over the world is imposing policies to get vaccinated or lose your jobs. Your ability to choose not to take the vaccine will cost you. But where is this headed? Since the start of Christianity, getting you to renounce Christ and His Word has always been around.
The world doesn’t know what’s coming, but then again, they do. Even true believers that never study the Scriptures don’t know what’s coming. And when they’re told, they ignore it.
Ignorance of the Word is no excuse.
In America and other places of the world, access to the Scriptures is just a couple of key strokes away.
Your choice to ignore the Scriptures will cost you.
You have a choice to investigate the Scriptures and make an informed decision or you can choose to ignore the Scriptures and pay a severe penalty with eternal ramifications.
Just because you don’t believe the Bible, it won’t make death go away, and it won’t stop man from imposing severe restrictions to get you to comply.
Finally, God gave Israel a word. This word reveals the kind of choices we ought to make from the NT perspective.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NKJV)
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
As far as what we see in the NT, according to Acts 17:30-31, God commands men everywhere to repent. Why? Because God has established a day when He will judge the world by Jesus Christ.
If we deliberately refuse to choose life, we will be judged based on our own choice or preference.
