Let me point something out about persecution.
Some believe that strong persecution is coming. And to a degree, it’s true. But while the true believers are here, unless we see the beast, the false prophet, and such with absolute enforcement power, we will experience persecution in the US, but not on this level JUST YET.
There’s a lot of teachers talking about persecution. And I’ve been talking about it too. But the mistake many, including myself, we’ve been making is attaching a president to it.
It’s been said that persecution is coming under the Biden administration.
While Trump has been in office, persecution was still happening but much less than what we’ve experienced from the previous office holder, president Obama and his administration.
The other mistake is that when persecution is lessened, we assume that we have peace and could go about our business. Then when something dramatic occurs, we go into panic mode, try to pray to the Lord for relief, and start the cycle all over again.
Persecution is part of the territory for believers. Paul made mention in his final writing about “fighting the good fight of faith.”
For years, we’ve completely cannibalize this verse of Scripture. For the last 40 years, we’ve assumed that “fighting the good fight of faith” was about our personal situations of life like healing, health, wealth and such.
But if you study the life of Paul, the primary meaning of fighting the good fight of faith was about the testimony of Jesus. Opponents of the gospel of Jesus Christ will do everything in their power to rid you from the planet because you believe and live the life of Jesus.
Philippians 3:7-11 (NKJV) “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
Read again “the fellowship of His sufferings.”
What is “the fellowship of His sufferings?”
Hebrews 12:3 (NKJV) “For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.”
1 Timothy 6:13 (NKJV) “I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate”
The sufferings at the cross was the culmination of sufferings that Christ experienced from the time of the beginning of His earthly ministry.
Each of us, in some measure, will experience similar sufferings.
To live the life of Jesus means that your life, led by obedience to the Scriptures with the help of the Holy Spirit, convicts the life of a sinner. So you will see an “ebb and tide” of persecution.
The world will create laws to stop you from living the life of Jesus.
It’s funny that sinners feel persecuted for living in sin when the Lord sent His Son to die for our sins to save us. Persecution is satan’s only tool to stop people from leaving the kingdom of darkness. The very hate they accuse the righteous of, they themselves engage in to keep you from ministering the truth in love to save them from sin and eternal condemnation.
Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV) “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
In the US, as long as God is honored, served, and revered, the people rejoice. The sad thing is the fact that in every nation, the unrepentant are here. The unrepentant is now so bent on perverse sickness that righteousness is an abomination to them.
The unrepentant are restrained and they look for every opportunity to cast off restraint.
Psalms 2:1-5 (NKJV) “Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure.”
Laws restrain the insanity of sin. The righteous, by the Holy Spirit, restrains them from increasing in madness. They seek to completely overwhelm the righteous so that they could sin in peace. For righteousness disturbs the unholy.
Or they look to indoctrinate you and impose unreasonable penalties to prevent you from sharing your faith in Christ.
The whole intent of persecution is to get the righteous to back off. We acknowledge that persecution increases and decreases depending upon each administration because it comes from government levels. Because when sinners have authority, they believe that they can make something go away.
For instance, when Michael, Azariah, and Hananiah were told, by decree, to bow to the gold statue of Nebuchadnezzar or burn, a decree of authority with absolute enforcement was made. When Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar the dream, the satraps, sorcerers, astrologers all made a decree to not pray to the God of heaven.
Obviously, when the reign of Nebuchadnezzar ended, Beltshazzar was king of Babylon and died after the Medes and Persians rose to power. Darius was king. Then a plot was made to kill Daniel. A decree was made with absolute enforcement power, but Daniel ignored the decree.
During the Obama administration, the IRS was weaponized to go after conservative groups. It was discovered and abruptly ended. Kim Davis was deliberately targeted and persecuted for not signing a marriage certificate for two homosexuals. She was deliberately targeted for practicing her faith in Christ that’s against homosexuality. “Cakes With Melisa” was deliberately targeted for practicing their faith in Christ that’s against homosexuality for not baking a cake for a homosexual wedding.
Others were deliberately targeted because they were practicing their faith in Christ that prohibits homosexuality. This kind of persecution didn’t end well for the righteous, in the sense that thousands of dollars were spent to defend against these attacks, as well as thousands of dollars in fines.
The world attempted to cut off funding like GoFundME so they couldn’t pay for their litigation against these frivolous charges and fines.
Like we’ve been saying for years. Persecution is on the rise.
The Trump presidency was just a pause, not a reprieve.
All over the world, sinners desire to rid the planet of the righteous so that they could sin in peace.
Matthew 10:16-26 (NKJV) “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.
You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.“
The kind of persecution that has yet to appear in the US is enforcement with few option should you choose not to comply. In other nations, this is a clear occurrence.
North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, and other places have been using absolute enforcement with the death penalty for being a believer in Christ. This will soon be a reality in the US, sooner than we think.
It used to be that sinners rarely bothered the righteous in the US. All this has been changing over the last few decades. No longer willing to wait for people in Christ to grow old, a new generation emerges. The unrighteous will tighten laws and restrictions, ignore or abolish the current US Constitution affording protections for religious freedom, establish enforcement with less options, and establish lawlessness as the new law of the land.
This is persecution that leads to the great tribulation where absolute enforcement with death is headed.
This is the kind of messages some people in the true houses of worship avoid. And for good reason. We want sinners not to bother the righteous. We go about our business, and you go about your business. But we’re called to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to them.
So they will do everything to outlaw sharing the gospel.
Like in England, you’re allowed to freely practice your religion but you’re prohibited from sharing your religion. In the US, the Constitution is still here but the erosion of the 1st amendment is underway.
Social media is censoring free speech. YouTube is shutting down content. Fact checkers are removing truth. But that’s not enough. If you become a platform like Parlor, you’re shut down. The only way to stop free speech is to shut down the entire World Wide Web (WWW).
This isn’t happening. So the only recourse is to shut down servers and that is close to impossible because once someone is aware of your page and posts a link, information can still be shared. The world doesn’t want you to be free to think for yourself. They want you to be so dependent upon their content, that when truth comes, you refuse truth because you love and believe a lie.
So now, it all about truth or lie. To keep people from the truth, and give them lies in its place.
When they can’t get their way to suppress the truth, the next thing is persecution. Then when persecution fails, the last step is the Great Tribulation with absolute enforcement power that comes in the Great Tribulation.
