2016-2020 The Church & The Politics Of Our Times

Trump wasn’t supposed to lose.

It’s like on paper, his re-elections is in the bag.

But first…..make no mistake about, that many, including myself, were caught up in the politics of our times.

For whatever reason, I vacillated, and straddled the fence. At one point, I didn’t want to have anything to do with politics, then returned.

When Trump was a candidate, I was completely skeptical.

A bunch of leaders prayed around this candidate and then there were other candidates that appeared to be believers too that ran against Trump.

Then, Trump emerged. It seemed as if God revealed who we were.

Some time after the inauguration of Trump, I sensed that his election was a pause, and not a reprieve. I didn’t know how short the pause would be. Everything seemed to be in place.

We begin to see a concerted effort on Trump’s part to confront MSM. This counterattack on MSM was a result of the way MSM played hardball to get Hillary Clinton into the WH. MSM made it their number one goal to be against EVERYTHING Trump was doing.

Hillary Clinton’s rise to be the first woman president wasn’t to be.

This awakened the political power houses and money people to initiate the most vicious attack to bring Trump down. But in political circles, the Obama administration was already orchestrating a scheme to politically bring Trump down. We don’t have to prove it because the acts are recorded and no guess work or conspiracy theories are necessary.

The intel and federal law enforcement apparatus at the highest levels were in full swing.

It ended up with the impeachment of Trump with the Senate trial that favored the president.

Behind the scenes, China was hit with tariffs that previous administrations failed to impose. The Middle East was setting up to be another powder keg but coalition forces pushed ISIS back into oblivion. Afghanistan was coming to a close. Iran is suffering because of its pursuit of a nuclear weapon. US participation in Global Change was on pause.

The US, for the first time, became energy independent. Gas prices at the pump were low and stabilized.

Israel received tangible support from the US by moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, brokered unimaginable peace accords called The Abraham Accords with 4 nations, agreed with Israel regarding the Golan Heights, and other Middle East actions.

The US economy broke unimaginable records while adding more debt.

All of these things should have been able to put Trump back in office for a second term.

Then COVID hit in 2019 and lingered into 2020.

States shut down the economy. Trump stopped flights from China and Europe, as well as other nations, and most of the economic gains accomplished went out the window.

With the fear of COVID in the air, the election came.

We all know that this was the strangest elections of all time.

Out of no where, Biden emerged as the Democratic front runner.

With 2 debates, and relatively no cross country campaigning, a 77 year old man that showed signs of his age beat one of the most successful MSM pounded presidents of our time.

Biden had basement, Zoom and parking lot rallies, while Trump had outdoor rallies in the thousands at the airports where Air Force One landed. Trump travelled every day, having 2 or more rallies, and other seemingly tireless events to attempt to secure a second term.

He laid it all on the table and lost.

81 million votes for Biden to 75 million votes for Trump were the highest election totals in US history.

Trump won Ohio and Florida which are must win states because no president wins the WH without these 2 states. But Biden did. Michigan, Georgia and Arizona were flipped.

The 2020 vote is with undeniable controversy.

No election is absolutely perfect or absolutely flawless fair and square.

We know that fallen, sinful man will say and do anything. This election was far beyond mistakes or omissions. Deliberate acts were done in plain sight. Once again, MSM refused to report pertinent relative facts, and social media assisted.

I know that I’m leaving out the details and I do it deliberately because everyone will have some information. What I’m typing is just a general summation.

The Trump loss is a bitter pill to swallow. I supported the president because he did things beyond my expectations. In 2016, I expected the president not to succeed. I expected the president to fumble and bumble his way around the second most difficult job in the world.

That’s right. The second most difficult job in the world.

Almost every president in their first year, will have some clear fumbles and bumbles, but if they recover quickly, and learn critical lessons, if lives aren’t loss or heavily impacted, they emerge as sure footed leaders.

No president received the scrutiny that Trump received. Every move, every word, every phone call, every misstep.

But we must never trust man above God.

This taught me a lesson. Man will become worse and worse, but God will establish His kingdom because He’s established a date that no man can stop.

I want His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

You see, man can censor and shut off the Internet, but they can’t stop God.

On the spiritual side of things, Jeremiah 17:5-10 is very clear. As the election went on, I’m reminded about Daniel chapter 2, and chapter 5. I’m also reminded about Psalm 75:6-7. I’m reminded of Acts 17:26-28.

These are the end of the end times. We don’t know when the Lord will return, but the events of our day showed us that it’s closer than when we first believed (see Romans 13:11-14).

According to Daniel chapter 2, the image that Nebuchadnezzar saw in a dream is coming to pass before our eyes. Students of the book of Daniel know that the things Daniel wrote is the companion book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

More than ever, I realized that we in the Body of Christ were hoping against hope that this nation wouldn’t come to an end. In fact, many believers are of this persuasion. That America would remain. But it can’t. The events of our times have changed and we need to prepare for what’s to come.

John 16:13-15 (NKJV) “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

Don’t follow the false prophets that declared that Trump would be re-elected.

Everyone can prophesy when things appear to head in a certain direction. And Trump’s success in the WH appeared that, hands down, he would get a second term. No one prophesied that Biden would win. Unless I’m wrong.

We all know that what Biden stands for is clearly the spiritually wrong path to go on.

But look at the condition of each heart in the Body of Christ. People are abandoning the true teachings of the Lord. Defecting from the faith. We have mixed or confused teachings. We live sinful lives. We have forgiveness without repentance mindsets. We’re not committed to Christ as we should. We have mixed loyalties.

Should the US Constitution be destroyed or ignored, houses of worship will be directly affected. It makes sense to protect the one document that protects free speech and religious practices. But will we be faithful like Daniel and be told not to pray to God, but open the windows to pray anyway?

Will we be like Mishael, Azariah, and Hananiah to refuse to bow to a gold statue when the music plays?

This is what Paul meant when he said to Timothy to “Fight the good fight of faith.”

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
