When Christians Enter Disputes Of The World

It’s not about being a referee.

When it comes to politics and other worldly issues, the righteous are caught in the middle. But there’s a constant warfare going on that is very spiritual in nature. We’ve talked more about the political wrangling for the last 3.5 years.

The Body of Christ is off purpose and message.

Get beyond the politics and look at what’s happening spiritually.

Surprise. Thank God for COVID.

What?

Well look at it. It shut everything down. Including places where we thought preachers were preaching the Word of God that are suspect.

If anyone had any kind of sense, we shoud have said, this is a time to get back on track with God. A reset.

But no.
Political sides have been taken.

NEWSFLASH: Read Jeremiah 17:5-10.

The Lord saw that we weren’t depending upon Him, but upon man, and no crisis goes to waste.

COVID, ECONOMIC UNREST, RACIAL UNREST.

These are distractions that included end time implications that people are still blind about.

The political disputes of our time is about agreeing with a side, dropping your opposition, joining with their ranks, recruiting others, and to vigorously defend it and them.

The first thing that believers should do is consult the Lord in prayer and search His Word for a definitive answer.

Only the ones on good ground will do this. The ones on wayside, stony, and thorny ground will NOT do this.

These are the ones that you will fight with the most. The ones on good ground are the ones that put God first in everything. These are the ones that put God’s Word first in everything.

True believers must be mature enough not to take a side of any arguments until they did a complete or comprehensive seeking of the Lord and His Word.

This is what people don’t do.

Chances are, many believers are surrounded by people that may not be in agreement with Scripture. Let alone, people that may not know the Lord.

Depending upon their age, people are filled with all sorts of things and the only way that you know what’s in a person until they say or do something. While we don’t what what’s in the mind of people, we’ll only know when a person says or does something.

Matthew 15:18-20 (NKJV Strong’s)

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

Reading the same passage from the Amplified Bible….

Matthew 15:19-20 (AMPC)

“For out of the heart come evil thoughts (reasonings and disputings and designs) such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false witnessing, slander, and irreverent speech.
These are what make a man unclean and defile [him]; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean or defile [him].”

Thoughts of murder only manifest when there’s an act, and so on.

When people express hatred, where did it come from? It comes from within a person and depending upon their spiritual status as far as saved or unsaved, the world is full of hatred.

1 John 5:19 tells us, reading out of the Amplified Bible….

“We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one.”

So if you’re having a conversation with people that aren’t saved, and they begin to express hatred for a person or group, it comes from satan, not God.

When it comes to sin, true believers hate sin. When people participate in sin, our job is not to hate them but to hate what’s done by them.

When it comes to hatred of people, the love of God isn’t in them.

1 John 3:15 (NKJV Strong’s)

“Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”

1 John 4:20-21 (NKJV Strong’s)

“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”

So why do professed believers hate like the world hates?

Because they sit there with their friends and co-workers and voice their preferences. The moment that you oppose their preferences, they attack you. And there’s no excuse for a person to attack another person because they’re opposed to a preference.

But that’s the way the world operates.

satan will not allow you to be against his preferences and will demand you denounce your opposition, and join with them. If you refuse to denounce your opposition and join their preference, you will be attacked.

What are true believers to do?

When there’s a preference that the world want to push, make sure that you have enough sense to see that they know where you stand with the Word. Have enough discernment to tell them that you’re not interested in entertaining a position that is against the Word of God.

Don’t be quick to agree with them because they’re applying pressure. The whole point of the pressure is to get you to surrender the Word of God, to recruit you, and then use you to recruit others to be against the Lord.

When it comes to satan, he’s very crafty and will use slick ways to catch you off guard, and sow seeds of doubt to get you to surrender the absolute rule of the Word of God. People are crafty too and you must abide by these Scriptures.

Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV Strong’s)

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”

To guard your heart,

Hebrews 5:14 (NKJV Strong’s)

“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

Train your spirit and renew your mind to discern the difference between good and evil.

1 John 4:4-6 (NKJV Strong’s)

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

Know that the spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

Anything that doesn’t agree with the Word of God should never be entertained.

James 4:7-8 (NKJV Strong’s)

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

We must be like Joshua, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

But if you still have a problem and if you see no reason why you can’t agree with a concrete anti God positions…..

1 Kings 18:21 (NKJV Strong’s)

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.”

If you want to follow Baal, follow him.

But if you want to be smart, you would be smart to follow the true and living God, and obey His true Word.

What if people don’t want to listen?

Matthew 15:13-14 (NKJV Strong’s)

“But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

Let them alone. Leave them in the ditch.

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
