Reading The End of the End Time Signs

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you need to have a good working knowledge of the end times. False preachers will crop up to give crowd pleasing messages and lead many astray.

Our job is clear. To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to get people saved, delivered, and set free. You have to exercise caution and restraint to avoid the pitfalls of ministry because there’s many.

We’re as close to the coming of the Lord as never before and we must remain faithful to the end.

Matthew 24:1-3 (NKJV Strong’s) “Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

There were three questions the disciples ask the Lord after the Lord set the clock in motion with the destruction of the temple in AD 70.

37 years after the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

As a minister of the gospel, you need to have a basic working knowledge of the end times because the messages that will be preached by you must be connected to the end of the end times.

Question number 1.

When will these things be? (The destruction of the temple….the Lord didn’t give a date, just signals).

Remember, Luke also wrote the book of Acts.

Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV Strong’s) “Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.”

The restoration of the kingdom of Israel comes after the tribulation of the Jews mentioned in Matthew 24-29-31. You see, when the Lord arrived, right up to the crucifixion of the Lord, the Jews rejected Him. But when He returns, He will return with great power and glory.

Jesus knew what they’ve meant because Jesus mentioned “times and seasons“.

So for over 2000 years, every generation has been observing the events occurring in times and seasons of famines, earthquakes, pestilences, wars, rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, kingdom rising against kingdoms, false prophets, lawlessness, the love of many growing cold, the activities that occurred in the days of Noah, and Lot, and the gospel being preached throughout the whole world.

Question number 2.

What will be the sign of Your coming?

Question number 3.

“…and the end of the age?”

The answer is hidden in the verses but you have to “search it out with the help of the Holy Spirit. However, we can see that the answer to question number 2 is plain for all to see.

Verses 4-14 and 29-31 leads to the coming of Christ. This is what we need to pay attention to.

Matthew 24:4-14 (NKJV Strong’s) “And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

False prophets are in abundance, and they’re increasing in number. How do we know the difference between a true prophet and a false prophet? Deuteronomy 18:20-22. Also, when they use the Bible along with uncorroborated teaching that violates the harmony of Scriptures. Wars and proxy are operating on almost every continent on the planet.

So the Lord doesn’t want us to be troubled. “But the end is not yet.”

And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

For many decades, we’ve read in the history books and we’ve observed as witnesses, famines, earthquakes, and pestilences in various places.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

The apostles of the Lamb and many disciples of the Lord have been persecuted (tribulation or trouble) and killed. True believers are hated for His name’s sake. Any time the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached before sinners, they’re offended. Then there’s apostates. They’ve defected from the faith and now, they seek to turn you in.

Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Many of you have seen false prophets rise with incredible doctrines. Extra Biblical doctrines. Extremely questionable doctrine that sound spiritual, but such doctrines are doctrines of devils and seducing spirits. They never came from God. During the coronavirus, local governments are freeing prisoners but will imprison anyone violating social distancing. Arresting Christians for preaching on street corners, or standing on Biblical principles.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

It’s getting close to see that no nation will not have heard the gospel of the kingdom. Cell phone, lap tops, pads, billboards, television commercials, movie theaters, radios, podcasts, street preachers. It’s getting to the place where there’s a complete saturation of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:29-31 (NKJV Strong’s) “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Verses 15 through 25 and 32-35 relates to the actual great tribulation of the world, centered on the children of Israel.

Then Jesus warns us all that no one can set a date when His coming will be.

But notice that Jesus put additional signs for us to observe that lead up to His coming.

Matthew 24:36-39 (NKJV Strong’s) “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

The days of Noah was full of normal life with increased immorality. The days of Lot (additional insight from Luke 17), was with increased immorality and perversion.

Homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism, transvestitism, human trafficking for the sex trade, fornication, abortion, adultery, porn, pedophilia, zoophilia, and all sorts of other perversion rule the day.

In other words, just as sudden as the flood came to destroy man, in the same manner, the coming of the Lord will be sudden. Hence, verses 40 through 44.

We’re told by the Lord to watch and pray, because we don’t know when, as far as the date and time is concerned, that the Lord would come.

So, as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it’s good to have a good command of the end of the end times.

Published by The Minister's Crucible

The Minister's Crucible is designed to inform the Body of Christ about the inner workings of the ministry. The word Crucible from Latin, is "crux" where we get the word "cross" from. It also means a "metal container" where metals and other substances are melted or are subjected to higher temperatures, put to the temperature test. The Lord Jesus said "If any man desires to follow after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." Let's take up our cross and follow Him.
