The one thing that makes a person stand out is that they’ve heard from the Lord to enter the ministry.
Many people select ministry. Few are chosen into the ministry. The Lord Jesus is the Head of the church. He selects.
According to Ephesians 4:11, “He gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors, and some to be teachers.“
- To reduce intrusion into a place of ministry by people not called by Him.
- To select people, preordained by the Lord, to fulfill His will.
In the day and hour we’re living in, we know that there’s certain individuals that the Lord didn’t call to stand among us in our ministerial ranks. They’re smooth is their diction, know how to please a crowd, and they take advantage of the unsuspecting.
Heed these words from Paul recorded in 1 Corinthians 2:4.
“And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of men’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
The call of God demands that you not look to please man because your assignment comes from the Lord, not man.
Paul told Timothy these words that you must live by.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NKJV Strong’s) “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.“
Today, there’s millions of false prophets, teachers, and false pastors, also known as “hirelings.” People need genuine ministers to give the Word of God regardless of what people want to hear.
In The Minister’s Crucible, we will strive to ensure that what we give new ministers is the solid sound teaching of the Word of God so you can minister to people, with confidence and with the strong convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
